Motogenn's Bike of the Month - Suzuki GSXR 1000

Suzuki GSXR 1000 is a sports bike that was first introduced in 2001.

This week we picked up a great 2004 model with 50000 kms. 

The only damage was on the fairings but structurally and mechanically the bike was A1.

Like every engine that comes off our bikes we did a compression test and gear box check.

The compression test was very close to new specs which makes us beleive that this motorbike has been well looked-after and services have been completed within the specfied time frames.

Also, spark plugs were showing normal wear and tear

Forks and wheels have been checked and assembled on the jig to make sure they are straight. 

Suspension components have had their seals checked to ensure there are no leaks.

The electrical - wiring harness has been pulled completely out of the bike and all the connectors are intact.

Front and rear brake calipers have been tested and pistons are moving freely

The instruments cluster (speedo) did have a small crack on the acrylic screen however, we were still able to test it and were able to read all the 'vital' signs of the bike during the testing phase.
